Oktoberfestbier or Oktoberfest Beer is a name originally given to beers served at the Oktoberfest event in Munich, but which may now be used by various brewers, especially in the USA, for a pale lager around 6% alcohol by volume - which since the 1970s has been the most popular type of beer served at the festival. Münchner Oktoberfestbier is brewed in Munich specifically for the München Oktoberfest. |
